Retro, bishez

Well well well...
wellity wellity wellity
(lololol Simpson's Reference!)
I finally decided to listen to Simple Mind's 5th and most successful and critically acclaimed album New Gold Deam (81-82-83-84) today.
I was very impressed. Simple Minds managed to merge pop, new wave and post-punk perfectly on their 1982 release.

Obviously, Promised You A Miracle was their frontier single, a very impressive song in it's own right and my personal favourite on the album.
However, everyone has probably heard it many times before, so enjoy another song from the great album:

Simple Minds - New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84)

And so begins my series of weekly retro posts.
Yay! Retro on a blog about fancy new music.

Good choice for a Simple Minds album. Coincidentally, Simple Minds will be performing the entirety of 'New Gold Dream' on their forthcoming
30th Anniversary Tour in the UK this November.
